Berrettini is having a great year. He’s in semifinals winning a lot of good matches, so what you can expect in a semifinals of a Grand Slam match. You can’t expect an easy opponent. You can’t expect an easy match.
He’s serving huge, big forehands, moving well, and big confidence because he’s having a great year.
Matteo on Rafa:
I think he is he greatest fighter ever in this sport. It’s unbelievable what he’s doing. I admire him, the way he’s on the court. His attitude is something that, I think, it’s close to the perfection.
Berrettini was just nine when Rafa won his first Grand Slam title – at Roland Garros in 2005 – and says his first memory of the Spaniard is from that year’s Italian Open. Rafa beat Guillermo Coria in a five-set epic to win in Rome, but, back then, Berrettini had very different priorities.
They were showing the match on the TV for free, but it was a channel that was about cartoons. I was young. These guys, I mean, six hours. Come on! I want to catch my cartoons.
Our champ has now reached the semi-finals in 10 of the 11 tournaments he’s played this year, while he has made at least the semis in his last seven majors. For the first time since 2008, Rafa has reached the last four or better in all four Slams.
Rafa has a 45-6 match record in 2019, which includes a record-extending 12th title at Roland Garros (d. Thiem), plus two ATP Masters 1000 crowns in Rome (his ninth) and the Coupe Rogers In Montreal.
He has dropped only one set in the tournament so far, against 2014 champion Marin Cilic in the fourth round.

Anyone else think the ‘not before’ tines are odd? 4 hours allowed for the doubles final, but 1.5 for the first singles semi? How many Bo5 matches are over in that time? Hope Rafa doesn’t have to wait around and play too many games of parchis.

If you had real Rafa fans working on your site, any one of them could tell you that if Rafa wins the US Open again, it will be for the FOURTH time, not fifth as you state. Seems like this site is just a business for you, without a Rafa fan on it, because they would know all these things you get wrong. Last time, in one of his previous rounds, you even got the score line wrong.

Hi there, Miss Perfect. Yes, Rafa has at the moment 3 USO crowns. However he had a fourth FINAL, which he lost to the evil one aka Novak Djokovic in 2011, the Year of Despair for Rafa fans. Admittedly we’d all like to forget that year but it’s in the record books.

HAHA… Ramara, for me the years of despair were 2015 and 2016 when Rafa couldn’t buy himself any major trophies (AKA, NO French Open).
In 2011 Rafa did okay, but Djoker was a beast and Rafa couldn’t get past him. Only Federer finally gave him his first loss of that season at the FO Semi Final.

Calm down and read properly. The site is correct in saying that Rafa is going to his fifth final ( remember he lost one final to Djokovic in 2011). So the stats are correct.
