Top seed and defending champion Rafael Nadal will continue his US Open campaign when he goes up against Canadian Vasek Pospisil on Wednesday.
Their only previous encounter came three years ago on the hard courts of Beijing, where our champ prevailed 7-6(3), 6-4.

He had a good victory today, straight sets against not-an-easy opponent like Lukas Lacko. I need to be playing well and I hope to be ready for it.
Rafa is 8-0 in his last eight matches in New York and he is 22-2 in his last 24 Grand Slam matches.
He has won five tour-level titles this season. He holds the highest winning percentage on the ATP World Tour for 2018 with a 40-3 record heading into this clash.
Rafa downed Stefanos Tsitsipas earlier this month to claim a fourth Rogers Cup title in Toronto, his 33rd ATP World Tour Masters 1000 trophy, while Pospisil carried momentum from a semi-final run in an ATP Challenger Tour event in Vancouver to see off Lukas Lacko in the opening round.

Rafa playing great so far. I woke up to catch him serving at 6-3, 1-2. Pospisil played superbly to break Rafa for 2-4 in the second set, but our champ turned the screw and Pospisil won just a handful (2 or so?) of points since. Boom! 6-3 6-4.
Rafa has already broken in the first game of the third set. Looks like our champ is running away with this one. 2-0 in the third.

In an interview with TennisWorld, Roger was full of praise for Rafa. Here’s what he had to say about his long term rival. ” I just think he’s an incredible tennis player. He’s got shots that no other one has. When you have that, you are unique and special. Plus he’s got the grit. He’s got the mental and physical ability to sustain a super high level of play for years and for hiyrs and for weeks. He’s proven that time and time again. He’s come back from many injuries, time and time again. He’s made it same easy and it’s not. I think he’s been tremendous for the game. I have a lot of respect for him on many levels.” This is a very true and honest appraisal of Rafa and i think in Roger’s twilight years in tennis he’s giving Rafa the accolade he really deserves. Good on you Roger!

Amazon must have known about the poor picture quality because I read an article about the problems for streaming among different platforms. Mention was given to different band widths among other technical points that could be the cause. I didn’t fully understand the article as I’m not a techie.
I hope it gets better for the UK.
Yes Mac, I’m one of those people who have had their review blocked despite being a member for many years. Personally, I have a good picture quality and have no issues with commentary or camera angle (which many complained about) but my usual treat of playing a match back at my leisure is gone. It doesn’t help that I’m a nervous watcher so often rely on replays. Amazon have left a big void in the overall tennis experience. If they take over the masters and also have the US the market potential is massive and convenient for the British viewer but they need lessons from tennis.tv which operate a very efficient and fan friendly service. They must sort this out first.
