Rafa first to qualify for ATP World Tour Finals

Rafael Nadal has become the first player to book his place at the season-ending ATP World Tour Finals in London in November.

Rafa is looking to finish as the year-end No. 1 in consecutive years for the first time and for the fifth time overall, which would tie Jimmy Connors and Roger Federer on the leaderboard – one behind Pete Sampras. Next week, on 18 August, will mark 10 years since our champ first rose to World No. 1.

Rafa:

It’s my 14th qualification for the ATP Finals in a row, so it’s great news.

The world No. 1 has never won the event, but finished runner-up in 2010 and 2013, losing out to Roger Federer and Novak Djokovic, respectively.

The ATP World Tour Finals, which features the world’s top eight singles players and top eight doubles pairs, will be held at London’s O2 Arena from Nov. 11-18.

  2. Lots of Rafans have been praying that you may win this tournament as this is the only major trophy missing in your museum. May this year be your most awaited opportunity to win this tournament. Good luck and all the best. Vamos Rafa!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 🙂 🙂 🙂

  3. Like all Rafans, I wish Rafa would win this event some time. It is, however, one of my least favorite tournaments. I am like Rafa in that I don’t enjoy indoor tennis as much either.

  4. Rafa well done and all the best for next match,

    Love and prayers,
