WOW…Kyle Edmund of England has been branded a “cheater”.
At his match vs Djokovic the umpire claims he didn’t see the ball bounce twice nor that it was outside the line. Nole questioned the point awarded to Edmund. A replay of the shot showed Nole was correct. And fans were booing Edmund. And of course social media had its say in the questionable behavior of Edmund. Very fitting that he lost.

Delighted with another straight sets win and that Rafa has a place in the quarter finals. All opponents now will be tougher but Rafa is looking really good so i hope he goes much further. Well done!!

Thanks Maria. Yes, i’m missing Rafa and tennis in generall today. I really enjoyed the documentary about the evolution of Rafa & Roger and the chance to relive those emotional moments of the 2008 Wimbledon final. I remember being on the edge of my seat throughtout the match. To me, it was a well made documentary with a lot of thought given to how their friends, family, coaches and other famous rivalries would feature in it. I agree with va4favre about the subtitles (had to rewind a couple of times), but apart from that it was great!

Maria, Susie, Let me know what you think of it? I saw it last Sunday on the Tennis Channel. The scenes from the match and the early shots of Roger and Rafa were great. Rafa and Uncle Toni are interviewed in Spanish with subtitles which were hard to read. Also, I thought there were a few too many experts, but still worth seeing.
Hi Va4favre, I’m watching it at the moment, seeing a lot of Roger at the mo quite surprised at how angry he used to get , didn’t Know he was like that , reminds me of Zverev, makes you realise how special Rafa is.
Va4favre, it’s just finished and I really enjoyed it, from seeing the footage of a young Rafa and Roger, their family and the other great rivalries that have been and gone. It has to be the greatest match ever and although Roger has won Wimbledon 8 times the only match that stands out and is remembered is the one that Rafa won, absolutely brilliant 😁
Oh what a fabulous programme – an in depth look at both their early lives whilst at the same time, keeping the 2008 wimbledon final on the agenda. Hadnt realised that roger was such a racquet smasher. Also what a fab uncle and coach Tony really was. Thought it was fab
Hi Susie, did you see Rafas’s interview when he came off the court yesterday, he was so sweet and funny when he said well England is it coming home out not lol . Well Rafa hopefully next Sunday it will be and the Wimbledon title will be going home with you .

Hi Maria. Yes i saw the straight off the court interview and i think Rafa endeared himself to every English tennis and football fan by saying that. They even showed it on the highlights programme and everyone was impressed. What a guy!!
What an observation Maria makes: Of all the RF presences at Wimbledon, it is not his 8 victories but the 2008 final between him and Nadal, won by Rafa that is cited as the best match ever.

Hi Maria, Susie, va4favre – I watched it today on BBC2 and thought it was really good. I thought the filmmakers kept a good balance between Rafa and Roger, even though Rafa won the match. It was a celebration of Fedal more than anything.
McEnroe talking about Borg was lovely and I liked Charly Moya saying he could beat Rafa in practice but in a match it was different!
Maria, yes the footage of young Fed reminded me also of Zverev, wanting to be better than he currently can be and getting frustrated.
I just like that this doco exists because these two great players both deserve to be recognised. I think too that it’s good it was made while Rafa and Roger are still active players – it might have been just an exercise in nostalgia otherwise, but this rivalry is still ongoing and their comments were very interesting to hear.
