World No. 1 Rafael Nadal progressed to the second round of Wimbledon with a straight sets victory over Dudi Sela. Our champ showed his class on Centre Court, defeating his Israeli opponent 6-3 6-3 6-2.
Speaking to BBC immediately after his win, Rafa said:
Great always to play here in Wimbledon, especially on Centre Court – happy to be through and positive feelings.
Room to improve, but after a while without playing on grass it’s very important to start with a straight victory.
I went to the net a couple of times, later in the third set I served worse, but in general terms I served well.
It’s not easy, especially here on grass. The important thing is to be through, I prefer to win in straight sets than in five.
Every victory gives you confidence, it doesn’t matter how you win.
The world No. 1 will face either Vasek Pospisil or Mikhail Kukushkin in the next round as he continues his quest to win a third title at the All England Club.

Hi Susie, If it’s true then it’s not a smart decision on Rafa’s part. Main coach should not be absent in an important tournament such as Wimbledon. I think Rafa needs someone like johnny Mac or Pete on a consultation basis only at Wimbledon
