After extending his record haul of French Open titles to 11 by winning Roland Garros last Sunday, Rafa withdrew from the Queen’s Club Championships, a key Wimbledon tune-up to be played in London from June 18-24. In announcing that decision on Wednesday, he said his doctors had advised him to rest.

The Mallorca Open courts will be played that same week in the small town of Santa Ponsa, located about an hour by car from Rafa’s hometown of Manacor.

Rafa is then expected to travel to London to continue his preparations for tennis’ grass grand slam event, which begins on July 2.

  1. Rafa all the best in Wimbledon can wait to see you play there vamosssssss Champ you can do it good luck .🎾🎾🎾❤️❤️❤️🎾🎾🎾❤️❤️❤️ We love your fans

  2. We were all happy that he won his 11th French Open title. It was a close one. Shout out to Thiem for making it to his first ever GS final. Rest up, and go and win your 3rd Wimbledon title. It is long overdue for him to win. Rafa will always be No 1 to me. Don’t care what the ranking say. VAMOS RAFA NO. 1

  3. THRILLED that Stan won his R1 match vs Norrie at Queens. And what a solid win, 6-2, 6-3, after such a lengthy absence. Good luck to Stan.

Andy is scheduled to play Nick tomorrow. I hope he does well too. Good luck to Andy.

  4. Ever since Rafa’s return to competition, after his lengthy hiatus from the tour in January, I felt this year would be a chance for him to clinch another Wimbledon title.

It will be challenging without a doubt but Rafa is not one to shy away from a challenge. Can he do it? I think he can. Dear I say it may be an even bigger challenge than his FO undécima. I worry about his knees and the slippery grass during the first week. But, he has done it twice before why not thrice. I think he should be applauded for his willingness to try regardless of his 2 out of 11 record. I believe he made it to 5 finals which is nothing to be humiliated about. Let this year be another win.

    GO FOR IT RAFAMAZING

  5. Whew! For a min I was worried he was going to pull out of Wimbledon. Roger better be scared now lol… Rafa is coming for you!!! Vamos!!!

  6. Federer must win his beloved Halle to keep the. No. 1 ranking. Rooting for this not to happen.

    • Jean ive heard roger got to no1 by reaching the stuttgart final and he also won it yesterday against milos. Thats what ive read anyway.

    • And he also has to win Wimbledon too, to stay at No 1. Federer has 2500 points to defend now. Rooting for Federer to lose both Halle and Wimby. Rafa no 1 all the way. At least Rafa respect the way the sport is played. Everytime he wins, he smiles and then the smile goes away when he shakes is opponents hand. That’s an act of true sportsmanship.

  7. Rafa all the best for Mallorca.

I trust your Wimbledon games will be very successful too,

    Love and prayers,

  8. I would love to see Rafa compete and win Wimbledon . This will be very challenging but I believe Rafa can do it one more time in Roger’s backyard . Vamos Rafa .

    • It’s time for Rafa to win again at Wimbledon. It’s long overdue. At the moment, Rafa only needs to defend some points there, when he lost to Muller. But Roger has 2500 points to defend at Halle and Wimby. Rafa did a great job defending his 4500 points in the clay tournaments. That’s an achievement in it’s self. After a good rest period for Rafa, he should be ready to kick butt at Wimbledon and maybe win it for the 3rd time. We hope. VAMOS RAFA NO 1 all the way

  9. Best of luck for Wimbledon Rafa! Go and beat the so called goat who has come out of hiding from the bush. You can do it. Vamos💪💪💪

  10. Wish you the best always. At least you do play all surfaces. But may want to rest and be ready for the open series. But will watch where ever you play.

  11. I realize that Rafa was in a difficult position in that he does not want to assume that he will win RG. On the other hand, his playing Queens always seemed like a long shot. Rafa is not 23 any more. Practicing on grass on Mallorca makes perfect sense to me. I think he should play the Boodles as he did last year and forget other warm up tournaments. I hope Rafa can play into the second week at Wimbledon. His clay season exceeded my expectations yet again. I only want a happy and healthy Rafa.

  12. Rafa, it was such a thrill to watch you play in Paris last week. I am praying for another victory for you in England. God BLess. You have been such a joy to watch!!
