  2. What terrible 30-31 hours this is . Left my office when Rafa was 5-2 up against Novak , got in an accident.Woke up to find nadal win in 7-6 6-3 hard fought match. Now I got a broken leg and Rafa is struggling in the final. Come on ! This is ridiculous😭😭

    • Sorry to hear about your accident Navdeep. Don’t worry about Rafa, he will be fine even if he loses today.

But wow… What’s going on with Rafa!?? Wake up champ!

      • Thanks for your lovely words. I also hope Rafa gets better after the rain interruption. Maybe it’s the lunch he needed. I m off to sleep since it’s ridiculous doing nothing😔. Thankyou once again

    • Omg! That’s really bad luck with your leg. Sorry to hear and hope it’s mended soon. Talk about Rafa being nervious, he’s making us all anxious. Sky just played highlights of Rafa’s title win in Rome against Coria. Oh the fearlessness of youth! Rafa could do with finding that emotion NOW!

      • Thanks Lorna for the kind words. Rafa win will give me some relief .Enjoy the match and keep the spirit going

    • Oh no Navdeep – hope your leg heals soon. Its not over yet so I’m hoping we all have something to smile about soon. If not – it’s onwards and upwards for rafa and the rest of us. Get well soon

      • Will take some time to heal Susie. This is frustrating. Can’t even go to bathroom. I am really pissed n the match is making me even more sick. By Susie , as I have said earlier off to sleep.

  4. Sorry correction….. The rain delay won’t help but at least but at least Rafa held his serve…

  5. That first set was a joy to watch, such a shame about what’s happened afterwards. I wouldn’t mind too much if Rafa lost to some other player, but I can’t bear that if Zverev wins he’ll have 3 clay titles this year and Rafa only 2. But I haven’t given up yet.
I think the weather might have played some part in Rafa’s performance in the second set, watching the clouds roll in and maybe trying to rush things before the rain started. But he often has what I call the Second Set Slump, against lesser players he can get through it, but Zverev is too good lately.

    • Jas_uk i agree with all that you say. But even if rafa loses today it doesn’t mean that RG is a gonner. He will peak for that Im sure. Just hope he turns it around today. He’s a fighter

      • I agree with you, RG is a different thing and as yet Zrerev hasn’t been very good at Bo5. I’ve been comparing Rafa’s clay stats from last year to this and they as good, there’s definitely still hope for RG, whatever happens today

  6. rain break. Hope nadal will talk with francisco roig about what to do. In my opinion he needs to win Rome in order to go to paris with momentum otherwise momentum will be gone and zverev will be the player to beat.

  8. Yes! Rafa only has himself to blame! He isn’t playing well and Zverev is growing in confidence.

Feel terrible. Rafa must not slump mentally. That would be a catastrophy!

    Vamos

    • I agree totally. Rafa is the one getting in his own way. He’s seems anxious and therefore over-analysing things. In contrast Zerev is calmly hitting returns and quite content to wait for an error from Rafa. The rain delay isn’t wkn’t hep but at lead Rafa held his serve to make it 2-3. Let’s not write Rafa off just yet. Pehaps now his back is firmly against the wall we just might see him mount a comback.

  9. GO SWEETHEART GO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! : )

  10. A mentally affected by the ‘nerves’ virus (since 2014 part of his persona) Rafa has never turned a big match around by himself, in his favor. So unfortunately he will lose this match and goes to Paris with a viral infection: the Rafa nerves.

    • GO RAFA GO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! : ) : ) : ) : ) 🙂

  11. nadal is losing momentum. He has only himself to blame if he loses. There is also something in tennis called mental fatigue. And he is mentally tired playing too much he had momentum by winning monte carlo and barcelona he is going to lose it and zverev will be the one heading to paris with winning 3 titles in a row. Nadal will have to reckon with thiem, zverev and a reborn djokovic.

winning best of five against nadal is difficult in paris but i rather had nadal winning madrid and rome instead of winning monte carlo and barcelona

    • WHATEVER HAPPENS IT IS OK…………………… THIS IS A RAFA FAN SITE…..ENJOY HIS PRESENCE AND KEEP CHEERING : )

      VAMOS SWEETHEART!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! : ) : ) : ) : )

    • I know how you feel. Sounds like the rain is lashing down – surely the balls are too heavy to play

  12. Time and time again Rafa gets broken very early in a set and he’s got to fix this before RG. Most of the time he manages to break back and regain control but with a player like Zverev i’m not sure it’s going to happen as he’s growing in confidence. If Rafa holds his own serve easily from now on then he’s going to go after Zverev more aggressively.

  13. I don’t like Zverev, but I guess I have to except the days of Rafa, Roger,Andy and Novak are over and Zverev is the one to beat😥

    • Sasha would not beat rafa in best of 5 Maria – im convinced of this as he gets tired quickly by all accounts

      • I hope you’re right Susie , gutted right now I think this match is all but over

      • The rain delay may have helped him. He wasnt pkaying like this against novak – did he peak too soon?

  14. I really hate it when Nadal is in this self destructive, insecure modus. Terrible to watch. He’s throwing away Rome and momentum going into RG.

  15. Well each set has the same score. I hope Rafa can get this sorted in the final set as Sasha clearly has had a 2nd wind. Cmon Rafa – please win this

  16. Returns often too short and so easy to be dispatched.
Cmon Rafa! Attack and get ur service games at least!!!

    VAMOS
