(AP) ā Rafael Nadal will get the 24 Hours Le Mans classic endurance race underway. Organizers of the race say the 16-time Grand Slam champion will be sending cars out on June 16.

France has long been in the spotlight in the sporting world in June, with the French Open and the 24 Hours of Le Mans.
This year I will have the honour of giving the start of the 2018 24 Hours of Le Mans, one of the world’s greatest motor races.
I look forward to getting to know more about this spectacular sport, the drivers and everyone involved.
We have in common a competitive spirit and a habit of seeking new challenges.
That’s why I’m delighted to have this opportunity and I can assure you that when I wave that flag to start the race, it will be with the greatest pride and exhilaration.
Rafa follows Formula One boss Chase Carey, who last year waved the starting flag. Actors Alain Delon and Brad Pitt are among others to have held the role at the Circuit de la Sarthe.

Good luck today Rafa, other players could learn a lot from you not only in your style of tennis but how to behave on court, couldn’t believe how Thiem just reacted when he lost a set against Fabio , he needs to remember that you lost against him at Madrid losing the title and the number one ranking and all we saw was disappointment and respect for your opponent.

Thiem only broke his racket ( which I haven’t seen him do before) but it’s the way he did it, he hit it on the ground twice started walking and then decided to have another go and hit it three more times ( went to town on it) . It was in the last game , I was just thinking thank god it wasn’t a grass court. He was fine at the end
Oh no. I saw him break a racquet last year but cant remember what tournament. I remember andy roddick going back to a smashed racquet and smashing it more. Oh dear
