  5. too bad djokovic is out of the tournament. I really learned to appreciate djokovic for his accomplishments. novak is on his way back. I think he will definitly be back in 2019 he is going through what nadal went through in 2015 and 2016. The press is being very rude to djokovic and writing him off just like they wanting to do with nadal and federer. The new generation is not ready to take over. I predict djokovic and murray will be back soon and the top 4 will be reunited

    • mjus, Yes, he does look like he is on his way back. He admitted to have returned to competition too soon [AO, IW, and Miami]. If he is as committed as he says he is, we may see a vastly improved Nole sooner than 2019. He plans to play either Barcelona or Budapest.

      According to the ATP, Nole has played only 9 matches in 9 months. He is bound to be rusty. Too bad for those who don’t understand.

      Despite his loss to Thiem yesterday he seemed pretty upbeat because he reached the third round and he is playing without pain. Not only does he have to work on his physical fitness but also on his confidence. I think commitment is key.

      I sure miss Stan and Andy. They too will be tasked to get back into shape.
