  5. Wow, what an amazing weekend of tennis! Huge congratulations to Spain and especially Rafa and David! 🇪

  6. Just as Rafa consoled Fed when he lost the AO, David consoled Kohlschreiber after his loss. David is often overlooked but he is and has always been a tenacious fighter. I hope he enjoys all the plaudits he is and will receive for this great win for team and Spain.

Some are saying it was a stroke of genius to have David play after Rafa. They may be right; Rafa’s win today could have given David that extra wind he needed in this thriller of a match.

RAFA & DAVID ROCKED DAVIS CUP

    • Here, Here. So true Margo. Like Rafa, David is a tenacious, humble and compassionate guy and he deserved his time in the spotlight for sealing the decisive rubber.

      • Lorna, so well put.

I have to tell you though, I was on double pins and needles during David’s up-and-down match because I was also worrying about Rafa and what he must have been going through. Duuhhhh

I read a lot of articles saying that Italy and Germany would win. Surprise, surprise….France did a job on Italy.

And many were counting on Zverev and Germany’s doubles team to clinch the semifinals.

Let’s get ready for more clay and more titles.

        RAFA ROCKS

  9. A curtsy to you Rafa. Hope I was wrong about you returning so soon from injury. And YES, I am looking forward to a great clay season for you. All the best in health to a great champion.
