Spain captain Sergi Bruguera, however, said they would see how Rafa’s recovery goes before making a final decision on if he will play.

Rafa is getting better, coming out of his injury and training more. There’s still a week and a half to start the games, and there’s time.

I am not going to confirm anything about any player. I won’t decide my team until Thursday.

Bruguera also picked David Ferrer, Pablo Carreno, Roberto Bautista and Feliciano Lopez.

The series against Germany will be played on outdoor clay inside a bull ring in Valencia on April 6-8.

Spain has 26 consecutive victories at home, having not lost since 1999 against Brazil, and is only two away from equalling the all-time record of 28 straight home wins set by Italy in 1949.

  1. So, in the absence of any news Nadal, Isner won the Miami masters. I’m very happy for him. Some of these guys are very good players but always coming up short against the usual suspects. Great result!

  2. Rafa just so long as it doesn’t interfere with your progression towards being ready for the Clay season.

All the best love and prayers,
