  1. When the 2nd set against Isner went into a tie breaker I must admit I expected Isner to win that set with a string of aces.
I never dreamed that Rafa would actually bagel him in a tie breaker. !! I was expecting the match to go to a third set.
    Wonderful Rafa..!!
Although I originally wished Rafa would skip Beijing I can now see that this win in particular would give Rafa a lot of confidence going into Shanghai.
Best of luck to Rafa in his match against Dimitrov to-morrow.

  2. Hello all! Hope you’re all doing great in this world!

Wow so this is the first time Isner has been broken in Beijing? Go Rafa!! Show him it’s not all about the serving.

    Stay strong champ!

    • Hi Mac. Great to see you here. It’s been auwfully quite here since the USO.

Rafa just bagelled Isner in the 2nd set TB :p. Nothing like how he played the TB against Pouille, Isner simply had no chance. Just too good, confident Rafa.

More (rambling) on the match later. :p

      Nice day there. 🙂

      • rainier,

There will be more reactions once the tournaments in sjanghai, paris and atf will start. These are the important tournaments not this one.

  3. Rafa has always beaten Isner except for his match in the Laver cup.
But this is worth ranking points and Rafa is only too aware of it.
He seems to be in winning mode if his last two games are any indication so let’s hope he can keep it up.
But also please Rafa keep enough gas in the tank for Shanghai. !!

  4. Good luck today Rafa , you can bring the giant down today as he hasn’t got team world cheering him on, unlike you who has the Beijing crowd on your side.

  5. Rafa, unlike Laver, this is for points so I hope you have a game plan to win against Isner. ROCKIN tennis to you.

    RAFA ROCKS
