Rafael Nadal will play doubles with Roger Federer at the Laver Cup in Prague on Saturday after Bjorn Borg opted to select the duo.
Fedal will take centre stage on Day 2 and will both compete in the singles and doubles on Saturday.
Laver Cup Day 2 schedule:
Day session starts at 1 PM local time / 7 AM EDT – New York, Montreal / noon BST – United Kingdom / 1 PM CET – Spain, France, Germany, Italy / 9 PM AEDT – Melbourne.
- Match 1: Roger Federer vs Sam Querrey
- Match 2: Rafael Nadal vs Jack Sock
Night session starts at 7 PM local time / 1 PM EDT – New York, Montreal / 6 PM BST – United Kingdom / 7 PM CET – Spain, France, Germany, Italy / 3 AM AEDT – Melbourne.
- Match 3: Tomas Berdych vs Nick Kyrgios
- Match 4: Roger Federer/Rafael Nadal vs Sam Querrey/Jack Sock
Europe lead 3-1 after the opening day’s play but twice the amount of points will be on offer in each match today. The destination of the trophy will be decided tomorrow when three points will be awarded to each match winner.

The doubles match with Rafa and Roger was so much fun. Thankyou so much. It assuaged much of the cynicism that can surround tennis at times. I have watched these two since they were first at Wimbledon…..where Rudyard Kiplings words still ring true . Inparticular ” If you can meet with Triumph and Disaster And treat those two imposters just the same” and ” If you can force your heart and sinew. To serve your turn long after they are gone And so hold on when there is nothing in you Except the Will which says to them ” Hold on ” . These lines for me epitomize the essence of these two men. I hope this is Rafa not trying too hard because I dont like how passive he is and so many errors. Where is aggressive USO Rafa ? The annoying part is his passive play makes him run so much more which is not good for his health.

Please don’t tire yourself as you have China tournaments coming up and you do have some points to defend while Roger has none. So want you to finish the year as Number one. My wonderful Christmas present.
I too want Rafa to finish number one at year end. It was so exciting to have him introduced both days as world number one at the Laver Cup. I believe that he has only 100 points to defend, so that it not too bad.
