Wimbledon R2: What time does Rafael Nadal play against Donald Young?

Rafael Nadal will look to move step closer to a third Wimbledon title on Wednesday when he takes on world number 43 Donald Young. The American booked his place in the second round after opponent Denis Istomin retired injured.

Rafa has a 99-14 career record against fellow left-handers.

Match time: Rafa is third on Center Court. Around  6 PM local time / 1 PM EDT –  New York, Montreal / 7 PM  CET – Spain, France, Germany, Italy / Thursday 3 AM AEDT – Melbourne. To convert to your local time, use this website.

Rafa on facing fellow left-hander Donald Young:

Well, he’s an aggressive player. He’s a player that plays quick, hits the ball so quick. Sometimes he’s able to play at a very, very high level. Is a dangerous opponent, no? Is a lefty, too, so that makes a big difference.

Rafa has won both meetings with Donald without dropping a set. Donald Young has beaten only three top-10 players in his career: Gael Monfils, Andy Murray and Tomas Berdych.

  • Rafa has a 40-9 win-loss record here, which puts him in 4th
place among active players on the list for most match-wins at Wimbledon.
  • He has a 44-6 win-loss record at Tour-level in 2017, putting him in first place on the list for most Tour-level match-wins this year – ahead of Dominic Thiem (35-15) and Alexander Zverev (33-12).

GOOD LUCK & VAMOS RAFA!

  3. Tomorrow can’t come quick enough for me to see Rafa once again playing a winning game. Rafa my boy, I worry when I read your comments re. your knees holding up n your legs staying strong. I pray they do. History can.repeat itself n you can bite that Cup again King of Clay. Would love to see a Gentlemans Final once again Rafa n Roger! Vamos Rafa. God bless you. Your Aussie Abuela Nan Shirley.🐂⏳👑😀😊😇

  4. Just checked 2015 Wimbledon vids of Rafa and compared to this year. What stands out is the difference in movement. Rafa looked much slower in 2015, and he looked heavier, especially leg wise. I wonder how much weight he has lost – 3/4 kg can make a difference. He looks so much fresher right now. I don’t want to jinx anything but this is a different Nadal folks.
