  1. Pure joy today for Rafans! Our hero still has to play tomorrow. I was so worried but I was encouraged by Rafa’s quote yesterday that he had done his homework! I don’t know if that was Moya’s influence or not, but this happy fan will take it!

    • Hi maria. Novak and andy are losing a lot of ranking points as they have been unable to defend their points from last year. Did you see rafa’s interview on sky with Marcus when he was asked if he carried on like this i.e. being no1 in the race and if he won more titles etc. he could be world no1 again? Rafa was so sweet and bashful and evaded the questions politely. He so deserves all of it. Looking forward to tomorrow’s final. It’ll be good to watch.

Your playing magnificently Rafa , and have sped through the first set with no problems, but please be wary , we have seen this a lot from Novak lately ,where he loses the first set and then comes back with full force. I am in no doubt you will take titles in Madrid and RG but once Novak gets his new team on board he will be dangerous again , but you have shown how amazing you are as you didn’t need to replace your whole team to get back to your winning ways , you just needed a helping hand from Moya and worked the rest out for yourself.

  11. i am hoping that moya will tell novak you cant beat novak by playing same old same old

    – serve well (novak has the best return in atp history together with murray and agassi)

    – mix with your return dont return the whole time cross court try down the line

    – stand on the baseline in attack mode not defense mode go for your shots and put depth also use forehand or backhand down the line

    – come to the net ( novak is the only player that can play a rally of 30 shots of more against nadal)

    – believe in yourself

    This match will determine where nadal stands compare with the last two years will this be his first win over djokovic in three years?

  12. So pleased for Rafa this week, these 3 matches 😀 praying for him to continue. Last year semi final in Madrid on Sat. 7th May saw Murray was leading so switched off and went shopping in Paris, coming home saw the result 😢loss. I typed a message to Rafa that he made a mistake inviting Andy to Majorca the week before to practice on the orange clay in Spain, I saw the photos on Internet and wondered what is doing there, that could give him an advantage. This year I said to Rafa in Spanish I am pleased that you did not invite him this year. All should win on their home ground as in the Madrid final in 2015.😕 I wished Rafa to lift the trophy.   16. What a fabulous match between Rafa and David, where both put their heart and soul into it! It’s great that David put the line call incident in their last meeting behind him and we were previleged to see fantastic rallies and shot making by both men.

    As for the semi between Rafa and Novak, Rafa said he isn’t worried about it, so it shows he is brimming with confidence and that makes me confident that he’ll be victorious. Can’t wait! Bring it on!

  19. I think novak won one title at the beginning of the year and rafa has won two. However, there is no contest as to who has achieved more and who has gone further in the tournaments. Despite this, Rafa gets under novak’s skin and novak will be determined to beat him. I am looking forward to the match although I am quite nervous but I know rafa will do his very best and he will fight for the win. Novak has had a days rest yes but i think it would have benefited him if he had played. Rafa played and won and his confidence is high. Im hoping novak is unsure about rafa and a bit rusty. Wishing rafa a fantastic match today and let’s see him in tomorrow’s final.
