Well the weather’s not on Rafas’s side , no Idea about the crowd as they were already out on court . The commentator’s said Rafa has lost some support after yesterday , well they were never his fans in the first place so no big deal. What a shame the Lopez’s didn’t quite make it to the end . What a great weekend this has been for Spanish tennis . The people of Spain must be feeling really proud right now, and no matter what happens later it’s a win/win situation for them.
Maria, did you watch the match? I wanted to but couldn’t. How was the crowd? Such a shame Marc and Feli couldn’t take it. Hope they win will Barcelona next week 🍀.
Hi Rainier, yes i did , although i will admit i was trying to get a few other things done at the same time before Rafa’s match. The crowd seemed fine although there were a lot of empty seats, and i guess their grievance is with Rafa ( wrongly so) not the Lopez’s. The Lopez’s played well in the 2nd set but lost it completely in the tie break , still big Smiles from Marc though . Rainier may i ask are you VY.
The Spanish duo are pulling it back , looks like it’s going to a tie break . Where’s that sun we ordered for Rafas’s match. Rafa has just posted on Instagram and the sky is looking very gloomy.
Great to hear that the centre court at the Barcelona Open is to be named after Rafa. An accolade he deserves after achieving and giving so much to tennis. It would be nice if MC and RG were to honour him in some way 😄. Go bite that trophy today champ!

I’m excited about the finals today. Looks like lopez/lopez may be on cusp of losing the 1st set but am sure they will recover. I’m dreading any boos today at rafa’s match – that would be so sad and not a good atmosphere for a final! We shall see.
Hi Susie, sorry just answered you on the last thread.Hopefully once he crowd had a chance to reflect on what happened and realise it wasn’t Rafa at fault they will stay at least mutual. I guess it’s easy to act on the spur of the moment. It will be fine I’m sure and if not Rafa won’t let it affect his game today as he has too much to lose. I’m expecting to see the Lopez’s especially Marc watching the match with Rafa’s family and team .
