Sorry Roger I’m putting you on the back burner and opting for the Stan /Alexander match ,as I need something to wake me up not send me to sleep . If birthday boy is on top form i think this match could get quite fiesty and i fancy seeing a few broken rackets tonight . I’m going to put a wager on broken rackets 😬🎾3-1 to Alexander Lol . Maria, it quite annoys me that they schedule both matches to play at around the same time. And since one is Fed’s match there’re so many empty seats at Stan-Zverev match, which is a shame as it should be THE better match.
Vy, originally Stan was scheduled to play an hour later than Roger, I feel sorry for Stan he is playing to a near empty stadium it must be hard to be bothered to find the enthusiasm .I’m guessing being seeded number 3 means nothing when Roger is playing. Back on Roger’s match as i don’t really like matches without any commentary , will probably flit between the two .
Is anybody watching the Wawrinka Zrevev match? I chose it over the Fed – Bautista-Agut one. Much more interesting to me. 🙂

Actually I’m still watching both but focus more on the B-Day boy’s vs finger waging boy match. Intriguing to see if Zverev can repeat the win over Stan to set up a rematch against Kyrgios. But the court is much slower here than on St. Petersburg so it probably will be a tight, good match. 🙂

Manhunt is playing well , but after yesterday this game is feeling a bit flat ,and boring Barry in the commentary box is sending me to sleep ,we need John Mac there to liven it up

Okay. So Mahut plays that point over again and again, pulling Rafa wide on the ad court then putting the ball away in the open court. Rafa nowadays when being pushed on the FH side tends to mishit a lot, or simply can’t get to the ball, which probably has more to do with his fear of getting injured than his decline in speed.

Rafa used to have the best running shots in the game but now the combination of his decline in speed and the FH touch makes him so much more vulnerable, sadly.
