Stan and Grigor lost. Andy /Dan took the first set 6-3 lost the 2nd 1-6 and in tiebreak took it 10-6.
The constant hand tapping is something I’ve just got used to Maria. It didn’t happen so often in the old days. I think it’s so they can gee themselves up whether they win or lose the point. Looks like rafa and tomic may ĺose the 2nd set. Eeek
Oh i hate that kiss cam. What if you’re there with friends and you feel obliged or pressurised to kiss them? How embarrassing. I saw stan and grigor had lost the 1st set but after that I fell asleep so don’t know the final score. I saw a bit of Andy and Dan’s match – do you know the final score there? Yes, Susie. Tomic behaved and played well. I think he didn’t want to let Rafa down as he seemed very respectful of Rafa.
Neither of them looked particularly at ease with one another in the beginning – not like Rafa and Marc who are so relaxed in each other’s company – but in the 2nd set Rafa was smiling a lot and Tomic started to unwind a bit He ( Tomic ) played some really impressive shots.
I hope playing with Rafa will teach Tomic something about sportsmanship , perseverance and dedication. He has so often “thrown in the towel ” when things weren’t going his way but I don’t think he would have dared do this when partnering Rafa.
Ahh Maria I’m sure he is a sensible chap and you taught him well! Stan and grigor lost the 1st set – I don’t think I’ve seen them play together before. Hope I can get up in time to watch rafa and Bernard. Now that will be interesting…….
My two favourite people Rafa and Nico giving their support to a worthy campaign. Hopefully it will make people especially teenagers think twice before texting, speeding or drink driving behind a wheel. From a mother who son has just passed his test it is my biggest worry.
