  5. All positive over three matches, the most pleasing aspects were; his confidence level, calmness under pressure and producing wonderful shots when most required, these are vital aspects in sport.

    The final produced some great tennis from both players. I am happy for Rafa and lovely to see him back on court enjoying his tennis.

    Wishing him an injury free 2017 and let us see where it takes him. The buzz is back in tennis.

    Happy New Year to all his supporters, our respect and support for this great champion links us all.

  8. Rafa is not rushing to judge his level based on this MWTC title. “Let’s see during the next couple of months. We cannot analyze my game for here, for Brisbane, for Australia, let’s take a period of time and see how the things are going after Indian Wells and Miami, let’s say.”
    “I would already have had the chance to play Brisbane, Melbourne, Rotterdam, Alcapulco, Indian Wells, and Miami so it’s going to be enough tournaments to say, ‘okay, I am here, I am there.'”
    “Especially when you don’t compete, you need time. Let’s wait a couple of months.”
