  1. For someone who didn’t know that rafa had never won the wtf – one has to wonder what really knowledge margo has about rafa anyway. Take what she says with a pinch if salt guys

  2. There have been many times that I dropped out of using this site due to Margo being completely obsessed and really harsh towards others who have every right to express themselves – but returned to find she had got worse. We’re not the only ones who feel this way. Just chill margo and leave us be

  3. I hope Rafa is listed to and that slower tennis balls which bounce less are an option in the near future, Rafa believes this would reduce injuries to the top players and would extend player careers. With a lot of the great player in or soon to enter their thirties ,it would be wonderful to see them still competing for many more years .

  4. Childish glee is apt for childish behaviour and that is what Novak showed by breaking his racket and ripping his shirt like a toddler breaking his toys . I remember Novak getting laughs at Rafa’s expense by imitating his rituals so I guess he likes childish glee

  5. Schadenfreude is not an opinion. It is childish glee at someone else’s expense.

To my knowledge, Andy Murray has never accused Rafa of doping, directly or indirectly.

    24/7? LOL

    RAFA ROCKS

    • You come across as an authoritarian school teacher either handing out lessons or reprimanding. Elevating yourself as the ultimate voice of authority.

FYI Ididn’t mention an accusation but sour comment that the press were happy to link to Rafa.

      • It seems you are the one who inextricably linked Murray’s (post Monte Carlo loss to Rafa) anti-doping comments to Rafa.

I remember Andy’s words but it never dawned on me that he was referring to Rafa because I know about Rafa’s clean test records.
“Andy was so disappointed when a resurgent Rafa beat him this year that he made sour comments on court and to the press about doping. Something I find hard to forgive as one of his supporters.”

The semi-final was played on Saturday, Andy was interviewed on Sunday (the “Mail” a tabloid?). I couldn’t find an on court statement regarding the above. Perhaps you can advise how to locate this on court, post-Monte Carlo, Murray statement.

    • Margo – there you go again. Picking holes in what people say – testing them for absolute accuracy. Nothing wrong with that but the doctorial tone in which you do it. I was referring to his moans on court and then making what the press took as inferences – rightly or wrongly. Perhaps that was not clear. The press picked over every player that Andy could have been referring to i.e. those that played long back to back matches. This backfired to both Novak and Rafa, to the point that Boris Becker intervened and publically defended both of them. My point was that Andy made these remarks shortly after the match and at a time when the Bachelot case was rife. So he handled this very, very insensitively and, I believe, he must have known what he was doing. The main point is that players do not themselves behave with high moral standards and, Novak, certainly doesn’t. Confronting fans aggressively rather than leave it to the authorities is one such example.

      • Teresa, you have to understand that I can only go by what I read. Picking holes is not my objective, understanding others’ opinions is. I do place high value on accuracy, though. I am not thin skinned so I don’t take yours and others’ comments as the Holy Grail. Nor do I expect anyone to take mine as such.

We can all agree to disagree, but I just found it sad that some Rafa fans were able to be happy because some Rafa opponents either blundered on the court or in the media ring.

I want the best for Rafa, I also realize he has had so many injuries during his stellar career. I will not look at him with blinders on my eyes. Surely we all have enough respect for Rafa to know if some other player acts like a jerk, we don’t need to. I was truly surprised by the reaction to Nole’s loss.

No offense meant. If we can’t discuss things as adults, it’s not a good thing. Insulting each other is not the way to go.

  6. Susie, I think this site is great for keeping us informed and updating us on what Rafa is doing ,and I am a fan but I get the impression that Margo is on the internet 24/7 finding out about Rafa and that’s fine ,but for me I don’t need to know if Rafa sneezed today and then blow it way out of proportion. We are all entitled to an option as is Margo ,but she does seen to be very judgemental

  7. Gosh is Margo the only one who is allowed to have an opinion? Clearly she is as she is well known to blast others for nothing at all – even had a go at this site for giving her recycled news the other day!
