Rafael Nadal to start 2017 in Brisbane

Rafael Nadal will start his 2017 season at the Brisbane International in Australia from January 1-8.

Rafa said:

I think this is something I have to do during my career and I think at the same time it’s going to be a great preparation to be in Australia early.

Everybody who has been in Brisbane has told me very beautiful things about the tournament and the place so I want to try it.

Brisbane International Tournament Director Geoff Quinlan said Rafa would be a sure-fire favourite with fans in January.

We’re really excited our fans will have the chance to see Rafa in action this summer.

Rafa is a legend of the sport and one of the most exciting players to see live so I’m sure fans will be counting down the days to January.

What a great news for Aussie RaFans! VAMOS!

  1. I’m happy for the Aussie fans but I wish he would come to the UK more. Impossible to get into Wimbledon but have managed to get tickets to world tour finals with no guarantee of seeing him of course!

  2. That is great news! I like it when Rafa plays in new tournaments. It gives his many fans a chance to see him in person. I have my fingers crossed for a fair draw on Friday. I still have nightmares on his loss to Fognini last year.
