  1. Rafa in action now, playing amazing 😍 ❤️ Go nail it Rafa 🍀 VAMOS 🎾💪😃😘

  2. Update: Rafa vs. Simon tomorrow at 12.30 PM local time 😍😃👍

VAMOS Rafa and the best of luck
    🎾💪😊🍀❤️😘

    • Where did you get this “inside” information. Game has started already and it’s 11:20am Rio time.

      • I actually got it from this site yesterday. – Perhaps the time was change again or I got it wrong… Anyhow Rafa’s playing now, that’s the main thing 😃👍❤️

  3. Well the mixed doubles is cancelled – don’t know about the rest. Maybe it’s a good thing – Rafa can rest up. In case you haven’t heard Novak has withdrawn from the 2016 tournament due to a recurring left wrist injury.

    • If you have internet service you can use SCOREBOARD to keep abreast of tennis matches. Scoreboard will list all of today’s games and your time will be given depending on your location.

I don’t think he has started yet because Susieq just commented that it’s still raining.

  4. I can’t see any way they’ll get all three of his matches scheduled now – it’s still raining.

  5. I know that we all love Rafa and support him totally. I am not sure why he entered all three events, but it is clear that he loves the Olympics. He realizes this might be his last so he wants to enjoy every moment.

  6. I have not seen an announcement, but the weather is bad today in Rio. Cold, windy and raining. It may make it difficult to complete the schedule.

  7. I think it’s too much. I don’t see why Gabine and Marc (who is on fire) couldn’t work the mixed doubles together. Rafa and Marc have found a rhythm. Now Rafa has to find another rhythm, with another player, it may be detrimental.

    • I think Rafa plays to his own rhythm. There were questions early on about playing alongside Muguruza because they have little to no experience playing together.

He decided many moons ago to play mixed with Muguruza. Remember that he is looking to medal, and as competitive as he is he probably thought he could get at least one medal playing three competitions. He has most likely shocked himself by still being in singles and doubles. At the rate he is going he looks capable of medaling in ALL THREE. ASTOUNDING!!!!!

      RAFA THE TRUE OLYMPIAN

  8. WOW YOU ARE DOING SO WELL BUT 3 MATCHES ON 1 DAY , BUT YOU ARE YOUR OWN PERSON IF YOUR KEEN TO PLAY , SO BE IT BUT JUST BE CAREFUL
VAMOSS DARLING BOY ,WHEN YOU FIRST ARRIVED ON COURT ALL THOSE YEARS AGO . I SAID THS BOY IS A WONDER A STAR !!!
    HOW CORRECT I WAS !!

  9. According to ITF, Rafa’s mixed doubles match may be postponed to Thursday. Not official yet.

    Tenis Olímpico ITF ‏@tenisolimpico:
El doble mixto Nadal/Muguruza vs Hradecka/Stepanek podría posponerse a jueves dependiendo del desgaste de Nadal (que juega otros 2 partidos)

    • I too am concerned about Rafa playing three matches in a single day. My first thought is for Rafa’s well-being: three matches in one day seems a bit much to me. I was worried about two matches a day, but so far he has had a good run.

My second thought is that by the third match he may be unable to play at his present best, which would be unfair to his partner.

Third, I wonder how the ITF will decide. It is possible, knowing of Rafa’s fighting spirit, that he will decide he is ready for his third match today. Or, the ITF could decide that Rafa should play whether or not he is fit. I am wondering if the ITF is checking its tournament rules. Could this be a first time occurrence?

Fourth, from the perspective of the remaining tennis athletes, how will they perceive an ITF decision to have Rafa play only his first two matches today. Rafa’s decision to enter three competitions was voluntary. Mixed doubles start today, so why is Rafa allowed to skip the first day, they may be thinking. Everybody wants to win, so why make an exception for someone who entered three competitions. If Rafa plays mixed today, they may feel they have a competitive edge.

Just some things that this RNF post stimulated my gray matter to ponder. It would be engaging if other fans voiced what they think.

      KICK BUTT RAFA!!!!!

  10. Rafa, this is your first of three matches to be played today. I know you will win this one.
