  1. I wonder if Rafa will qualify for the Olympics. The Davis Cup is not on his schedule. Will he decide to play the Davis Cup, I wonder.

    • I think Rafa has made an appeal to be waived of the requirements due to his injuries, and the decision is going to be made in mid-July.

According to Uncle Toni, Rafa was supposed to be ready for practice last week, but we haven’t seen any photo or video of the practices. Wondering if the recovery is not going as well as expected. Keep our fingers crossed!

      • Yes, Rafa’s appeal is to be decided July 15 but the Davis Cup ties are to be held July 15-17. I’m thinking if Rafa is unable to play (or make himself available to play) July 15-17 the Committee may question how he can miraculously play Toronto tens days after the Davis Cup. Of course, it’s up to them if they wish to make an exception. DelPotro and others have also filed appeals.
I still think Rafa should wait out the Olympic’s because an injury such as his takes time to heal. Perhaps I am being over cautious, however, if he plays and the wrist is not completely healed he most likely risks the need for surgery.
I fervently hope that he is healed as he was due to start practice last week. Like you, neither have I found anything related to him practicing.

        RAFA ROCKS

  2. We miss you terribly our Champ. Wishing you a speedy recovery and hope you are back on the tour soon. Vamos Rafa!

  3. Wimbledon just isn’t the same without Rafa it feels really flat and lacking excitement, but one bit of great news is that Novak has been knocked out. Oh Rafa if only you hadn’t been injured this could have been yours for the taking.

  4. It is always nice to see such a ‘big’ star like RAFA with his family and long time girlfriend; and not a bunch of groupies scantily clad as some athletes like to do.

If you don’t have a strong family bond, what do you have???

Values to live by, your best hope for success in this life (not always $$) is a strong family foundation.

    RAFA fan forever.

RAFA, I am patiently and eagerly awaiting your return to the tennis court during competition.

  7. So pleased to see Rafa being able to share his success with family and enjoy his necessary time away from tennis. To Rafa there is much more to life than tennis and family comes first. At last able to enjoy his time off and make this a happy time instead of a sad one. He appreciates what he has and has worked very hard for it. Good for you, Rafa!!! Love and happiness to you!
