  3. He’s a shadow of his former self. Instead of “winning or misery”, he’s just happy to be there. Happy to be #5 in the rankings. Happy to lose in the semifinals of low-level tournaments. Happy to lose to players he used to crush 6-2, 6-2. Happy to lose to Novak 10 straight times. Happy to be a long-shot to win any slam. Happy to rest on his laurels at the ripe old age of 29. Oh, how the mighty have fallen.

    • not very nice are you let me say this Rafa has it all he has done it all let him alone and as I feel djoc might not be around to much now. many young players on the way up
Fafa starts his academy in june will be v.busy so, why make nasty comments about him when you still need to [proveyou have a right to breath.,

    • All Rafa’strue fans will be more than happy, even happier if you would take your comments on to some other’s fan page to make that lucky person one happy player.

    • can’t agree more. I like Rafa enough to hate him become a shadow of himself. Those fans against you are not true fans. They are happy to see him miserable. There’s no other explanation for why they wanted him to keep losing.

    • And uv done what compared to him ?? If he wants to rest on his laurels then he deserves to!! All time great and always will be!!

      • Dear Susan’

Nobody loves Rafa more than myself, MIROMO, J.Beer, Neruda and Sosa Laforge.
It is because we adore him so much that we criticise him so much, to get the best out of him always.

I wish i can share out of your (delusional) optimism, but as a truth speaker I cannot afford to deceive myself. That is, statistically, Rafa will not qualify to be the GOAT anymore!
Djokovic has all but ‘destroyed’ Rafa’s legacies (while Rafa is alive and still actively playing). Sad.

As it is, Rafa may end up as the 3rd greatest; Federer, the 2nd greatest and the human terminator, Djokovic as the GOAT (even if he does not win any FO).!

That is the TRUTH. Take it or leave it.

    • He is not a shadow of his former self. It’s exactly the same attitude, personality and humility he has always displayed. Even at his peak he was ‘happy to be in semi finals, happy to be in final, happy to win but hoped to be back next year, one game at a time’. He hasn’t changed a bit. He never displayed one iota of arrogance even when he was being pronounced as ‘super human’.

    • Watched a documentary once about a lion pride. The alpha male grew old and was kicked out. He became too weak to even snack on a dead prey that some hyenas had been kind enough to leave behind for him. He died. It was very sad.

Rafa please don’t become like that lion. Enjoy the little snacks, regain your strength and become the leader of your pride once again!!! Come on!!

    • Blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah..same old blah blah blah ..same old negative so called fans..take your gloom and doom somewhere else..beg your a real joy to be around
