The Argentina Open 2016 draw is out, and Rafael Nadal has a bye in the first round. Our champ had not intended to compete at the event, but his first-round exit at the recent Australian Open forced him to reconsider his plans.
In the second round, Rafa will play the winner of the match between a qualifier and Juan Monaco.
Alexandr Dolgopolov and Pablo Andujar are in his quarter. John Isner and Dominic Thiem are in his half. David Ferrer, Fabio Fognini, Pablo Cuevas and Jo-Wilfried Tsonga all feature in the opposite side of the draw in Buenos Aires.
Projected quarterfinals:

- John Isner vs Dominic Thiem
- Fabio Fognini vs Jo-Wilfried Tsonga

I am consistent as a fan and not playing along in this bs game of ‘we love you no matter what’. I will not be silence about how stupid the approach of team nadal is towards the 2,5 year old downward slide. The first step towards solving a problem is acknowledging it. I will point out the problem and the consequences (a lot of losses) until nadal does something about it or when he retires (he will within two years probably). Team nadal is a once successful company that is now run badly, blinded by the profits of old, ignoring the times that have changed.

Let me the first to reply as I am a huge fan of Rafa as most commentators know, some agree with me and others (about 3 should not be on this site, you know who you are) anyway, as always, wish Rafa all the very best for this tournament and every other one he competes in. The very fact that he asked for a wc after his early exit from the AO shows his desire to do well this year and no one is more disappointed by his 1st round exit then he is, so please all of you Rafa fans get behind him and show support.
