It was a good day for Rafael Nadal in New Delhi today.
Our champ beat Edouard Roger-Vasselin and Treat Huey of the Philippine Mavericks in the men’s doubles alongside Rohan Bopara (6-4), before beating Frenchman Roger-Vasselin 6-4 in the men’s singles.
It was the Aces’ fourth win in five matches as they continued to lead the five-team standings, just ahead of Mavericks who have four wins from six matches.

After the match, Rafa said:
It’s great to play at home, in front of home fans, and definitely the home advantage helps the team to win. The tennis in IPTL is so competitive, it’s a tough match, everyone wants to win and the tennis is of high quality.
I am happy to be here in India, the people are so friendly, the energy is terrific.
On the big match-up with Federer coming up on Saturday, Rafa said:
I will give it my best. The format is so quick, and everything moves so fast, but I am looking forward to playing against Federer on Saturday!
