Rafael Nadal eight in the latest ATP Ranking List

The new ATP Rankings – the ones the US Open seeds will be made from – are out.

Seven-time Cincinnati champion Roger Federer has surpassed Andy Murray in the latest ATP Rankings, so he is now ranked second in the world, and Andy has dropped to position No. 3.

Novak Djokovic is still comfortably in control of the No.1 spot with 14,865 points.

Rafael Nadal, a two-time defending champion in New York City, continues to be in the 8th place, meaning he could face highest-ranked opponents as early as the quarterfinals at the US Open.

  1. I would also like to know why Rafa is no. 8 instead of no. 7 (David’s points are protected due to injury) it is a puzzle? It is what it is and Rafa will continue to improve into the US Open

  3. Hi Rafanadalfans, why didn’t Rafa move ahead of Ferrer this week, with 90 points from Cincinnati? Rafa was 15 points behind Ferrer in last week’s ranking. Thanks!
