The Shanghai Rolex Masters draw is out, and Rafael Nadal has a bye in the first round. The World No. 1 (who won’t officially be ranked so until Monday, October 7) is seeded second at the tournament. He will play the winner of the match between Alexandr Dolgopolov and a qualifier in the second round. In his quarter are John Isner, Milos Raonic, and Stanislas Wawrinka, setting up a possibility of a quarterfinal with either of the three players, all of whom have played (and been defeated by) Rafa in a final this year.

In Rafa’s half are Tomas Berdych, Juan Martin Del Potro, Philipp Kohlschreiber, Tommy Haas, Nico Almagro, and Feliciano Lopez, setting up a possibility of a semifinal with any of those players. In the opposite half, Novak Djokovic and Roger Federer are drawn in the same quarter, along with Tommy Robredo and Richard Gasquet. David Ferrer and Jo-Wilfried Tsonga are drawn in the other quarter.
