Rafael Nadal defeated Jerzy Janowicz in round 3 of the Rogers Cup in Montreal on Thursday, with a score of 7-6(6), . This was the first match between the two. The first set was even up until the last point and ended up in a tie breaker. Rafa made an incredible comeback in the second set, being down 0-3 to win the set and the match at 6-4.
“I was able to play without limitations these two matches; hopefully I can continue like this. That’s my goal. I will try to forget this injury with my knee.”
“Janowicz is … the next top 10, top 5, he’s a future Grand Slam winner I think. He’s a very tough player to play against, his serve is amazing”, said Rafa.
